The design of Park Lane Ala Moana was influenced by the charming hillside villages of Italy, where dwellings are nestled into the landscape. To recreate this concept, the necessary parking structure was used to create topography on the site. As a result, the residences cascade down the form and through a lush landscape towards the ocean.
One of the standout features of Park Lane Ala Moana is the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows in each residence, providing breathtaking views of the surroundings. The design also incorporates multi-panel glass sliding doors that open full walls to generous 3-meter deep lanais, seamlessly integrating the indoor and outdoor living experience.
The luxury condominium building consists of eight stories and eight buildings, centered around beautifully landscaped courtyards. The development steps down towards the ocean along a series of lush terraces, creating a visually stunning and harmonious environment. The buildings are connected by a "Park Lane" path, which gives the project its name.
Upon entering the open-air lobby facing the ocean, residents and guests are greeted with a breathtaking vista as the building steps down. The edge of Park Lane Ala Moana is carefully designed to blend with the park and ocean beyond, creating a seamless transition between the built environment and the natural surroundings.
Park Lane Ala Moana has received recognition for its outstanding design. In 2019, it was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Architecture, Building, and Structure Design category. This prestigious award is bestowed upon designs that exhibit strong technical and creative skills, incorporating best practices in art, science, design, and technology. Park Lane Ala Moana's innovative approach and contribution to quality of life improvements have made it a true standout in the industry.
With its unique design inspired by Italian hillside villages, Park Lane Ala Moana offers residents a luxurious and unparalleled living experience. From the stunning views to the seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces, this condominium building is a testament to the creativity and ingenuity of designer Katie Palmer.
